Just got a box of 9 Bing carbs. Most are complete. Look to all be off road models. 2-38mm's, 5-36mm's, 1-32mm, 1-28mm. Most are spigot mount. 7 are type 54 and 2 are type 84. Will be selling very inexpensive. Have no idea what they are from but all have numbers stamped on them. Let me know what your looking for and I will try and help. Will sell parts if needed. Ted

I need a Bing carb for my 1978 250 MX-6 (MC5), which according to an article I read should be a 36mm type 54. I would consider a 38 like on my 1980 MC250 which is a 54/38/107. I don't know if the last number is a production date or what it stands for.

Michael: Is your carb a spigot mount or a clamp type mount? These 36mm's slip into a rubber manifold. Spigot style. Numbers on the ones I have are 1/36/112, 11624/0, 11611/1, 11624/0. One has a plunger type (push button) choke, others have a lever on right side. All have speed screw on left, mixture on left, fuel hose on right. All have a 52mm od on air cleaner side. The 38mm's I have are marked 54/38/101 and 54/38/116. One is a clamp type, other is a spigot mount. Ted

Ted,
Mine should be a spigot type that slips into a rubber manifold connector and the push type choke (tickler). Do you also have the same type in the 38mm? I would be interested in both if you do. Mike
