My 125 has a three wire motoplat. Two wires go to the coil. Does anyone know what the third wire is for? When hooking up a multimeter it reads as much as 20 volts AC at high rpms. Could this be for the kill switch?

The 3rd wire for your Motoplat is for the kill switch.
