Title: How do ya clean a PLASTIC tank??
Post by: Olmy on September 12, 2001, 09:58:24 PM
Hey I saw the good info for a steel and fiberglass tank but my tank is white plastic and the outside has faded yellow.  How can I make it the glossy white it once was??

I don't see why the steel tank method wouldn't work.  Muriatic acid is stored in plastic containers and shouldn't harm the tank.  I'm not so sure about the acetone.  The acetone is used to dry the tank and keep it from forming rust from the water rinse.  With a plastic tank I believe you could skip this step.
