Title: Steel tanker 1971 Fender measurements
Post by: t20sl on August 08, 2006, 05:54:11 PM
I am in need of measurement from rear edge of rear fender to frame back edge of fender loop.  Need it from a known original if possible.  Could also use overall measurement of front fender alonf the arch and front edge to front bolt hole.   Need to cut new fenders correctly.  Thanks, Ted

Hi Ted, I think Rob Wardlow posted some extensive measurements for the fenders mentioned!
Adios,

Ted
I think Ron is going to pick up my 71 this weekend from VMX Restorations and bring it out to AZ.  We are going go-cart shopping.   Lawrence used a pair of original fenders to cut and mount the one's on it.  Once I get it, I be able to take some measurements and pictures for you.  I haven't got your heat shield from Kevin yet, but I was going to get it painted pink for you.  I know it's your favorite color.  I just needed a pink sample from you, so that I can match your heels and purse.  Skip

Ted,
Front fender from edge to mount ~4 1/2 inches
Rear fender edge to mount holes ~ 7 inches
Measured from what is left of oem fenders, 1970 frame V2778
Hope this helps.
