The 1979 "snake" pipe that came with the 175cc MC5 6 fin cylinder engine has a bigger exhaust exit diameter than the Carl Cranke pipe on my 250cc hare scrambler. The Carl Cranke diameter is 7/8". It made the hare scrambler into a tiger. Why did KTM go to a larger diameter I wonder? Especially for a smaller engine. Any ideas???
