Title: re: Frame color, Airbox wanted, '76 MC5
Post by: fastkat1 on August 18, 2006, 06:41:17 PM
Hi:

I am looking for a stock magnesium airbox for a '76 MC5 250.  The guy who had the bike before I got it had hacked off about an inch where the rubber boot meets the airbox from the carb in order to clear some monster carb.  Also, does anyone know the correct silver frame color for this bike?  I would like to powder coat and get it as close to the stock color as possible.  Thanks for the info.

Dave, I have a stock Nautilus style airbox for MC5 (76). Have used HB Fuller Mercedes Silver, but others may chime in as well.

Thanks Tom.  I think you may also be the guy that makes the fiberglass parts as well.  I am in need of a set of side panels for this same bike, '76 MC5 250.  Kip Kern said to check with you.  Send me an email regarding how much you want for the airbox as well as the side panel info and I will send you a check.  Thanks.  Dave
