Title: HELP- remove 1979 KTM air filter

I have a hard time getting the bolt thru the cage/filteron my 1979 KTM 420. The air box is small and the bolt isn't perfectly straight. Also my air-filter cage and cage cover are very brittle any after-market one's. I'm sure I just not doing something right.Thanks frog

They went to a tapered filter to help in 80 or 81 but I have no idea where to find one!

there is guy on ebay ktmklassiker he sells this sort of stuff you could try him or just keep tryin searches in ebay this sort of stuff pops up occasionally

I have an spare air filter box & cage from a 1981 495, but I do not believe it will work on your 79.  My airbox was only for the 1981 125's & the 495's.
