Title: Penton shirts from KTM
Post by: rob w on September 08, 2006, 11:08:09 PM
Hi all,

Today I was browsing around a KTM dealership for nothing in particular, when I caught something out of the corner of my eye.
Something with the word "Penton" on it, it did'nt really register at first since I always have Pentons on the brain. But then it hit me - why am I seeing a Penton shirt forsale here ?, that name has been gone from this shop for 28 years ?

I spun around to check it out, and found a new shirt KTM is selling under their "KTM Hard Equipment" label.
It has the 70's Penton logo - across the logo it has John Penton's signature - and under that it says
" The Man, The Bike, The Legend".

WOW I thought, this is super cool !!!  I love that KTM is promoting their nostalgia - brought back the Penton name - and teaching new comers about the early roots of the company.
Of course I had to buy one.  :D

I ordered one of the new vintage design Penton shirts with JP's signature on it, (XL), from my local KTM dealer today. I can't wait to get mine and show my support for the real deal!
p.s. My 10 year old son, Steven, which is riding the wheels off of a 2002 XR100R can't wait until he is tall enough to ride one of my Pentons!
...and so the tradition, and the legacy continues into the next generation...Mike
