Title: 1978 ktm 250 mc5......FOR SALE

need to sell a rolling chassis and the locked up engine
missing minor parts....petcock, number plates, kickstand, shifter, fenders, etc.
bike taken apart to clean off all the oklahoma red mud that was
all over this bike....
straight wheels, spokes tight, swingarm pivot free and lubed up
boge mullholland rear shocks....14inch eye to eye
38 mm marzocchis up front, seals need replacement
tires in decent shape, you will want to change out later
frame unmolested and straight, if i remember serial #  starts  855....
beautiful exhaust pipe, hardly any dents
bing 54 carb....no airbox hose
airbox there too.....
seat recovered
tank is fine, missing stickers....could use a sanding job with 600grit
has gas cap, missing left side petcock, right one missing lever
handlerbars are tweaked....comes with all old cables,cables are frayed
brake pedal there with rod,spring and nut
swingarm straight, bearings seem fine, have the chain rubbing block
both axles come with all washers and nuts
ENGINE
locked up bad......someone went in with a drill and put holes in the
top of the piston,i have soaked it to no avail.
cylinder has all the fins....none broken
head.....good condition,
have the 3 mounting bolts that go thru the engine
have 2 engine mounting stays

I just got home from visiting with a great guy, Bob Wardlow. Thanks for the hospitality Bob!
I just need to find some more space in my shop to put it and more spare time to work on it and some of the others. A nice separate paint area would be nice too. I may have to build an addition for a paint booth. Mike
