Title: 1978 MC5 Colours
Post by: Chrisbo on October 05, 2006, 11:59:29 AM
Hi POG,

Can any of you tell me if a 1978 MC5 250 could come in any colour other than white[?] The reason I ask is because under the white paint on my side panels the plastic looks orange. Is there a perfectly reasonable explination for this[?] [?] [?] Also when stripping the engine it had allen headed bolts and some cross headed screws holding the crankcase halves together [xx(], which ones are correct[?] [?] [?]

Thanks POG people
Cheers
Chris.

Chris,  Not unusual to find different plastic/fiberglas color under Penton/KTM paint.  The factory used what they had and if it was the incorrect color, they painted over it and it went on the market.  The allens are the correct bolts for the cases, if you can't find any, just write!  CIAO
