If you remove your carburetor and measure the intake side of it you can determine what size carburetor you have installed.  See the link at http://www.pro-flo.com/proflo_mikuni_round_slide_carb_specs.htm#Body

Without technical documentation on-hand you should set the float height to be parallel to the carburetor body's gasket surface when held upside down.

You've got a 20mm carb, and the float level is 25.5mm + or - .
Turn the carb upside down and measure from the gasket surface to the top the float [ which in this case is the actual bottom of the float] Make sure both sides of the float are the same. If it needs to be adjusted bend the small tab over the float needle. Go in small increments. If these are copper floats, make sure there is no gas inside the floats, if there is get new ones. This isn't a problem with rubber covered ones. Good luck. Ask more ?? if you need to.[^]
