Title: PJ1 Frame paint questions
Post by: t20sl on November 09, 2006, 10:12:47 AM
I have never used this how does it hold up to spilled gasoline?  Which color KTM Grey or silver is closest to the steel tank frames?  Thanks, Ted

Ted;
The PJ-1 KTM Silver Gray Epoxy is a perfect match to the original frame color.   It also holds up very well to gas etc.   Just remember to scrape the paint off your coil  and engine mounts.
Have Fun!

I would have to say for a rider the paint is great ,for a show bike go with a PPG paint match. The PJ1 out here in the west is not a good match for a show bike ,its what you get for a $6.95.Maybe they mix them wrong out here .Depends on how close you want the match.[8D]

i've always mean't to ask is the PJ1 called KTM silver grey epoxy and is this the same colour for 73 to 77 frames. I also think that the engines are a straight silver Can you tell me a popular can brand for painting engines. Probably won't get here in Oz but its worth a try. Cheers Bill
