Title: Installing new main bearings
Post by: wildman on November 17, 2006, 10:33:23 AM
It's been quite a while since I've replaced any Penton KTM main bearings. I remember installing the seal holder plate without any gasket, then heating the case and installing the bearing race. This gave a little space when later installed with a gasket. I may be remembering how to do a Husqvarna bearing though. My old Penton manual doesn't mention it either way. Anyone have the correct method? Thanks, Wildman

Wildman, E mail Kip kern, he'll know for sure.
If its the seal retaining plate on the ignition side (?) there is a gasket behind it ( flange gasket right)and its got to line up with a specific hole. If memory serves me correctly
