Hello there! I´m a lucky guy from Sweden who have long been looking for and recently found and bought a 1970 125cc Penton
frame nr V2469 engine 1251/5A nr 5763961.
I would appreciate very much if anyone knows about the paint of the gas tank red/siver color codes.

Mats,
Just so you know the 125cc should be green and white. The red and silver were the colors for the 100cc Penton Berkshire

Actually, Mats is correct in his inquiry.

For reasons unkown to me, the colors were reversed in Europe for the 100 and 125.  The 125 was indeed red.

Welcome to the group Mats, and congratulations on your find!

Thank you Tony and Donny!
I asked Torsten Hallman, (who was the general importer of the Pentons in Sweden), about the red colour as i could only recall the green tank, and he said that in sweden you were able to choose the red and silver.
By the way it was Torsten who told me about this exellent site!

Matt,
I know you ask about a 125 Steeltanker, but our supplier Al Buehner still has some brand new Red 100 Berkshire tanks.  Just go back to home and click on suppliers and you will see AL's web site.  Al has a web sit on line, but you have to call him to order.  It is the way to go...I know I have tanks painted and it is expensive.  I hope this helps.  If I get the color codes I will email them to you and welcome to our site.

Thanks for your concern and advice Ron! Al certainly have lots of parts I could use and the price of the brand new red tanks are really impossible to beat, but i dont think the tank decal is the one I am looking for so I might have to repaint my old tank anyway.

Mats, you might try Kip Kern as he has restored a few Steel Tankers, and quality of information is usually on-target.
Thanks for posting!
