Title: 72 Monark MX
Post by: Tim McKinney on November 29, 2006, 04:27:53 PM
Have come across a really nice 100% original 72 Monark 125 MX model. All hardware right down to the vinyl carb and air box curtains in great condition, motor just rebuilt with new std bore sleeve and rod kit, piston etc., not even broken in yet. Completely original paint with minimal wear, the only things replaced were the tank side pads and the seat cover with parts from Vintage Monark. Can this bike be made to shift well enough to handle an occasional Vintage MX and what kind of money is it worth, pretty rare bird and the owner is proud of it. Thanks for any input.

You probably need to go back to //www.vintagemonark.com and post your question there.  You can contact the gentleman that runs the site, Mark Holloway and he will be glad to answer your questions.  I have 2 Monarks, one all original and the other restored.  Monark's are high dollar units, not many imported.
