Title: Maico fork 4 sale
Post by: Jeff D on December 08, 2006, 08:08:06 PM
I know this isn't a Penton part, but many of us have "off-brand" bikes, too.  Clearing out garage space, and I have a pair of 1978 Maico forks (I believe off a 400) that I couldn't make work on my BMW off-roader.  Installed new seals and fluid 2 years ago and they have sat un-used since then.  Comes with front brake, front wheel, brake cable and Magura dog-leg lever.  Don't have triple clamps or axle.
Buyer pays shipping...probably 2 boxes, one for wheel/brake, another for forks.  Make me a reasonable offer and they're your's in time for that winter project.

Hi Ric,
I'm guessing they are 38's?  Maybe someone more enlightened on this "off-brand" can help out here.  I don't have a set of metric mikes to check it out, but I think the 78's had 38mm's on them...but don't quote me on that.  Sorry I'm not more help.  Maybe I can measure them US and do the math to convert to mm on Monday if no one has an answer by then.

I believe 38mm converts to 1.496" or there abouts
