Title: Short and tall pistoned 175 cranks
Post by: wildman on December 19, 2006, 09:15:21 PM
Does anyone know if the later short pistoned, small finned cylinder, 175 crank is interchangable with the earlier 175? I would sorta like an idea before splitting a donor motor for parts. The cases and lower unit looks very similar, but I don't have access to the later parts books. Thanks for any help, Wildman

I believe it is interchangeable.  I think I have seen a 6 fin cylindar on an older bottom end.  I know someone can anwser this for certain.
