Title: finally got it
Post by: shpclay on December 31, 2006, 10:47:06 AM
After a month of waiting finally got my 1976 250 Penton from Tom Brosius  who lives in Denver. I'll send a link to a photo Bike is great just as he said it would be. Went riding yesterday and had a flat right away(nail). Benn awhile since I changed a tire on this bike. Mt 175 Penton was a different rear end. Can't find many things that I have to address other than brake pedal is a little far end and kick stand seems to be not long enough or something is bent. I put a board under like the pic that Tom sent me with a brick under it. Got one more bike coming 73 250 them I'll be set for awhile.

Thanks. You know a quick way to change rear tire. One other thing I discovered their is no or little adjustment in the front brale, may need new shoes.

Steve, you may have to remove the brake actuator arm and reposition it to regain your adjustments on the backing plate and the lever.
BTW Tom, is this Darth Vader's ole bike :D
