I have a 72 JP that I have used for parts but still has some useable pieces that someone might be able to use. Here is a quick inventory:
-Frame and swingarm: S/N 7-20655459, non-breather, good with rust.
-Wheels: hubs good, rims rusty.
-Forks: Cleaned and reassembled, no rust, tubes need to be straightened.
-Airbox: good, chipped gel coat on one corner.
-Tank: filler neck rusted.
-Engine: Stuck, piston and rod no good, cylinder needs sleeve, head has one broken fin, no ignition, gearbox internals should be OK.
-Exhaust: good useable condition, shroud has been removed, some dents.
-Fenders: good front bracket, plastic fenders useable but not pretty.
I don't want to go to the trouble to part it out on ebay or ship it, but if someone here is interested I can bring it to the February meeting at the museum. $200 or best offer for everything. I just need to make room for my next rebuild. Email me at
