Hi , I recently purchased a 1974 125 Enduro as it was discribed in the ad . The bike is in pieces , can anyone send me or direct me to what this bike is supposed to look like?
Thanks ,

Go to the "featured bikes" page off the "home page". Lots of pics there.
Hi Matthew,
The link below will bring you to my photobucket space where I have my restored 74' Enduro displayed. The only deviation from original is the exhaust pipe tip off an earlier 6 Day and the headlight. I used the fiberglass shell headlight because I wanted a bike that looked like the ones used in the 74' ISDT. The correct headlight bucket is shown under my Harescrambler link. Good Luck with your project.

Tom Brosius sells headlight shells like that and also Vintage Speedy has them.

The headlight shell came from Tom Brosius. The bulb is a 4" 12v beam from NAPA glued in place with 3m 5200 RTV adhesive. Thanks guys for the compliments. The 74' was my fist restoration and at the time I didn't think I would ever finish it.

Chris,Nice bikes-love the 74 six days.Just out of curiousity did you use the PPG#44623 paint on it (the 125 6 days)? It looks maybe like a little lighter, brighter color than some i've seen (or maybe it's just the picture),just wondering.I like it.
Thanks,

Hi Poggers!
And so goes the real story of the KTM headlight shell.
Approximatly 3 yrs. ago, I rcd. and email from Rod Gorzny about some unknown part, I had never seen. He explained that he had a "busted-up old headlight shell" in need of repairs and to possibly reproduce.
Two weeks later, I get this little gem in the mail.
Not in the greatest shape, but worthy of attention, due to it's history, and the knowledge of Rod, the adventure began.
In short, so that you know, this part came from a POG member, as well as others.
Being a POG member, and having my own website, is part of a dream.
I would be a fool, if I did not recognize the contributions of POG members.
And so, the story of the shell.
Thanks Rod,
Tom Brosius
I have 2 of Toms reproduction headlight shells, and they are the best! Other attemps to make one like the original have missed the mark in my opinion. Mike

HI Ric,
Thanks, I did use a 2 part poly paint that was mixed at a local autobody supply house. I will have to get the can and write down the numbers tomorrow when I am in my shop. It is a shade lighter, you have a keen eye! When I opened the mixed paint before shooting I thought it looked to bright but might tone down. After application it darkened but not enough to match the original colors. At first I was bummed but now I love the brighter shade. I owe a lot of thanks to the many POG members who helped me through restoration #1.
Chris
Hi Chris,I'd be interested in getting that paint code from you as i'm considering a lighter shade for one of my 125's.Thanks,
Ric
