Title: Getting ready for Arkansas
Post by: jimpal on March 31, 2007, 01:47:55 PM
I haven't made many posts but enjoy reading everything you guys put up.:) Today I am going to start working on my Piner. I am planning on going to Arkansas..I have never ridden anything but local enduros and hare-scrambles(in the 70's). But I understand there will be other old guys like me at the reunion ride, so I am going to give it a try. Thought you might like to see the "before" pictures..It is a 1972.
 Frame #720856960..Engine # 25201201.It has everything original,
tires..rims..chain..side plates, bag, etc...I think I did change out the rear fender...Oh, I forget..a kick-start lever, kickstand, and tank strap I got from Al. It's easy to forget...Now, if I can figure out how to post the pictures...Well, no luck....Will somebody tell me how to post the pictures? I have them on my desktop..and on my hard-drive..[?][?][?]

Jim,

Good luck at the ride.  The main thing is to have fun, I sometimes get a bit over excited while prepping for an event, thinking I need to prep like I used to. Then I realize what does it matter, the goal is to have fun and make a couple of new friends. If the ride is a good one and my bike and body hold up, that is a bonus.

I remember one time at an AHRMA trials I had a problem before the start and couldn't ride,  I ended up checking that day.  I got to score Dick Mann and several other of my heros that day, talk about a turn of events.

I hope to see you at the ISDT Reunion Ride.

Good luck,
Paul
