Title: Sachs and Your Left Foot 101

Doug,
Thanks for the very informative article (Spring 2007 Newsletter),   about how to properly set up and shift the Sachs motor.  Although I have not shifted mine yet (basket case) , I now have a better understanding on how the "Draw Key" shifting mechanism was intended to work and be shifted!

Matt;  Thanks!   If you have any questions with your
basket case, feel free to ask.     Have Fun!

I'll second Matthew's thanks to Doug! My father's '73 Rickman/Zundapp 125 shifts the same way, as I precariously found out this past fall on a ride with a few hill climbs. Not fun to miss an upshift on an intimidating grade! Can't wait to get my '72 SixDays back together from a frame up restoration to try out Doug's shifting tips (and go head to head with Dad's Rickman! ;)) Thanks again Doug, and keep the Tech Tips coming!
