Title: What is a Wassel Trials worth
Post by: tero1947 on April 21, 2007, 02:29:42 PM
I have a Wassel trials bike, imported in 1974. I am considering selling it, but I can only guess at it's value. I would like some input from the group on it's value. The chain guard and kickstand are missing and it has old Preston Petty fenders. The tank is excellent; overall the bike is pretty nice. I have owned it for over 15 years and have only ridden it a few times. A local person asked me if I would be willing to sell it, he didn't make an offer and I did not set a price. I had not thought about selling it until he asked. I would like to see it in the hands of a collector, rather than have somebody destroy this piece of motorcycle history.

I just paid $350 + to get a NOS tank and considered it a steal!  The chainguard and stand are available from Al B. and Matt H. and fenders can be had through several British suppliers.  Should be worth a 1K minimum if it is in any running shape, complete, even worth more.
