These are off an '80-'82 or so KTMs or CanAms from what I can tell. If there was a longer version 495 steering stem, this must be for the shorter version. Can send pics. $100 obo

Jon,
Based on the information I have at hand, there were various fork stems lenghts and diameters available for the 1980 & 1981 years.
On the 35mm dia. tubes, 2 different fork tube lengths were used 720mm & 750mm. The 720mm used the 150mm stem length & the 750mm used the 180mm stem length.
The 38mm dia. tubes had lenghts of 750mm & 780mm. 750mm used 150mm stem & 780mm used the 180mm stem.
125's & 250' models used 150mm stems, while the 350/390 & 420/s used 150mm stems. The 495 used 180mm stem.
As we are all aware KTM could/would & did change things in the middle of any production year, but I believe the the longer stems were primarily for the 495 model, but some may have found there way onto lower CC model bikes.
1982 models changed the fork design on tubes, legs & triple clamps. (maybe)
