Title: Pentons and Penton Parts For Sale
Post by: firstturn on July 18, 2007, 09:30:48 PM
Just a heads up I have decided to sell my Penton parts, engines  and some bikes keeping only enough to work on my next project.  If there is anything you need or want let me know.  I will tell you what I want for the item and if you want to counter with a offer that is fine.  Some of the items will be as priced since that is what I have in the item.  I am still going to keep engine parts and some accessories to finish two bikes for me.  Thanks and what I don't sell on here or to POG members/readers (of the POG Web Site) I will sell on ebay or to a person that will buy it all at one time.  Thanks for your time.  You can call me @ 832.722.0408 or email me @

I have shipped all parts paid for and or promised with the exceptions of people waiting for me to find other parts or they are going to pick them up at my shop.  I hope everyone attending Mid Ohio has a great time.

Ron....you wouldn't happen to have a complete, ready to bolt-on 72 Six Day seat would you? I thought about redoing mine but the seat base is toast and Al doesn't have any in stock.....plus, I don't want the look of a brand new seat cover...I'd like to keep the look of a "seasoned" bike.

No sweat if you don't have one....just though I'd ask.

Steve,
The only originals I have are on my bikes.  Let me know if I need to look for a base?

Ron, Thanks but I think I can fiberglass my seat base and reuse it....I just wanted to find a used seat for the look...I'm trying to keep the 6 Day "barn fresh" looking and didn't want to use a freshly covered seat.

Steve,
I understand.  I have seats from 1970 to 1975 that are original and they look great on a restored bikes.

Maybe I can get my seat guy to cover one in "distressed" vinyl...so it looks weathered....I'll give him a call.

That's just my luck. I get the ole 74 250 out yesterday and it starts on the second kick.[8D] Thats after putting new gas lines and cleaning the slide. I'm thinking I will email Ron and see if he has any interest in all my stuff again, I'm afraid I might try to ride it again...lol.
Then I look in the for sale section and low and behold he is selling his
stuff.:( Hey buddy did you flood the market?
Well I'm still going to get all my stuff out and get the dust off and put a list together.
Have a good one :D

Ron,

Do your have for sale:

a 250cc motor (with exhaust)or a substitute motor to fit a 75 Penton frame along with a swing arm for this frame?

Thank you very much for your assistance.  I will call you if that is a better way for me to get an idea of what you would like to sell.

Ron,
Hi I'm in search of one last part for my 74 250 Harescrambler, I'm hoping you might be able to help a fellow POGer out?
The only part I'm missing is called a "Reinforcing Bracket" in the Frame spare parts manual. Mine are the tubular type that mount to the frame tabs near the air box and run at an angle down to the motor near the cylinder base. I have the one with the loop for a cable but I need the mate. Couldn't find one at Mid O.

Thanks
Cappy

Oh I'm also on the look out for a good front hub for the same bike,
mine was repaired (welded on the inside) seems all the front wheels I looked at at Mid-O, That I could see cracks in the same area and all where MUCH worse than mine. I guess that it was an issue with Magnesium over time?
