Title: shock spring paint
Post by: Lloyd Boland on July 31, 2007, 05:23:57 PM
I am doing a little touch up.  I need to repaint the shock springs, black progressives shocks, and I didn't know if there was any special paint that should be used since the shocks compress and flex during riding.  I didn't want to use the wrong paint and have it start chipping or flaking off.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Lloyd
Pull the springs and have them powdercoated.  It is the only thing powdercoated on the bike.  makes them very nice looking and the coating is very durable

Normal paint will do the job, the springs don't compress enough too bring on any cracking.
