Greetings, fellow Poggers!  It's great to join such a fantastic group of enthusiasts. My first ever race was on a red 75 250 Penton at the Brown Mountain Lights Enduro in North Carolina. I believe that was in 78. My buddy Marty Hensley won the overall. Long story short, I got hooked on bikes at a very early age, and have been involved since that time. I compete in the Virginia Championship Hare Scrambles Series and Virginia Cross Country Championship Series whenever time allows. There hasn't been alot of that lately though! At least my fiance's little girl is now winning! After many years of running business operations for others, including Lowes stores, I was finally able to purchase my dealership of choice. Since fall of '05 I can proudly call Piedmont Motorsports in Bassett, Va my "home". It was formerly Jimmy's Cycles Sales, and was originally known as Johnny's Cycle Sales in 1963. Happily, sales are way up since 05 :) We are a KTM, Honda, Yamaha, and Arctic Cat dealership. I'm the orange Bleeder there! Stephen Edmondson is one of our sponsored riders, and a really nice guy. I have a few old bikes mixed in with the new; they are great conversation pieces. It's fun to see the Dad's tell their kids and grandkids about those great old bikes! The KTM side has a 75 Jackpiner, a 97.5 Anniversary Jackpiner (#83), and most recently a Penton Wassell just arrived from Mid-Ohio and Barry Pate. Thanks to Steve Joyce and John Pagans for bringing it home! Anyway, just wanted to say how good it is to join such a great group. Keep up the good work! Time to get packed for the KTM dealer meeting in Rhode Island. Two days worth of riding, one at Southwick. What a great group of folks there too! p.s. I am posting a couple of Rupp RMX 125's I recently found over on the for sale side. Pics are available.

Best wishes to all members!

Welcome to the POG Rob, there is the true essence of what motorcycling is all about residing in this groups membership... I ride very little any more but I helped the TDR guys in grooming trail and marshalled a few events for the VCHS events. Good to see that you can participate in so many facets of this great sport, good job.

Thanks! Tidewater Dirt Riders is a great bunch of folks. Perhaps the best sign of dedication I heard from them is the race site at Pipsico Boy Scout Reservation. I understand they use a tiller and reseed the entire course after every race - wow...
