Title: Metzeler Uni-Cross Tires
Post by: Chakka on August 24, 2007, 11:27:56 PM
Has anybody tried these yet? I've read all the posts on tire selection because my Harescrambler is ready for a set. I am a bit worried about the sizes, after conversion the 120/90-18 comes out to 4.50/4.75. Any opinions?
Thanks
Chris

That tire is the same tire as the Pirelli MT16. Pirelli owns Metzler now and all they did was relabel the MT16 the Metzler Unicross. It is still one of the best tires you can get though, I use the 110 on my Can-Am 175. I also rode a Maico 450 with the Metzler Unicross 120 on the back and it worked great. It is a BIG tire, but I dont think it would be too big for your 250.

Fantastic! Thanks guys, just placed my order for a pair. I was lucky when I found this Harescrambler, it was so original. The only item missing was the VDO, otherwise it was like a 1974 time capsule. For that reason alone I wanted those Metzler tires.
