Title: What knobs are best?
Post by: 83husky250 on August 31, 2007, 10:33:10 PM
It's time to retire my worn out 744 Trelleborgs and I wonder if anyone had an opinion on the best knobs to replace them with.  I don't ride my bike that much, so they'll probably last another 24 years (probably outlast me).  I live in northeast Ohio so a soft to medium terrain tire would be best.  I ride mostly trail, not much track.  Any suggestions?

Pirelli MT16 120/100-18. Best all around tire you can buy for any price.

Husky dude, I run a med. compound Metzler and it works great on my 520 in the red clay and rock trails. Got one coming for my 250 MC5 so that will give me a better idea on wear as the 520 is hard on any tire. They are not that much more than the Kenda's...I think it was $55 thru motorcycle superstore.BUT shipping is getting up there so maybe have your local dealer get you one. Ride on,TooTallPaul
