Title: 72-73 125 front wheel brake backing plate
Post by: john durrill on September 19, 2007, 06:34:00 PM
Does anyone have a backing plate for the front wheel that they could part with? Mine has developed a crack and needs replacement. Would like to get it as soon as possible for the RR.
Thanks,
John D.

Thanks Ron and Tom,
I tried using a rear backing plate, swapping some parts between the two, but things don't quite line up right. Front brake cable has a bad angle on where the bottom adjuster is locked down.

John Durrill, I am so pleased that you have contacted me re: a backing plate.
To date, this is our second exchange of  your dollars and my parts.
Our first exchange, was a simple one..you needed a 175 crank, which was delivered in sincerity, as I recall $35....But the price didn't matter. I quote you directly " Tom, I may need you to defend me"

Defend you against what? A dream........

I wish I had a barn full of Penton parts to sell, sadly I don't...

But what we have is a dream, and it keeps us alive...

Many thanks!
