Title: 38 mm Lectron carb
Post by: leoheyman on September 27, 2007, 04:14:57 PM
looking to sell this 38mm Lectron  or trade for a 34mm Lectron for
a 77 KTM  250 MC5.
i have 1 complete 38mm   and an extra 38mm with missing parts....
no float bowl, no top, no floats, broken choke lever.  has slide, probably the wrong one for a 38mm

thanks

i just need to get rid of the 38mmm lectrons.
hopefully get a 34 or 36mm lectron in trade.
if not, i will take $40.00 for both the 38*s  i have.
1 is complete.  1 is a parts carb.

my Bing carb is acting up and i thought i would see if i could
replace it with a Lectron.   if worse comes to pass i will just
buy a new Lectron but this is my last option since i am a cheapie
at heart

if you have something to trade that would work also

thanks

Hello Leo, Is the 38mm lectron carb the correct size for a Penton Mint 400cc? I may be interested in the carbs if they will work on my mint 400. Is the one that is complete in good working order?
Thanks for any help Crash Carden. GO PENTON! :D

i don*t know if this 38mm lectron came off a Penton.
it was in a box of parts i got when i bought a 78 ktm mc5
basket case(mike winter has it now).

i went thru the lectron and most everything seems to be in
working order.  the float bowl is plastic and looks like it
could be replaced.  other than that there are not many parts
to this carb so it looks ok to me.  has the metering rod
and all the small parts there.
the parts carb is just that.  missing some small parts but the
body is all there.

just trade me a 36mm lectron and i will be happy.
if not cash talks.

A " NO POWERJET"Lectron is not recomendable for a 2 stroke.
It is very hard to dial in.Thats why Lectron came out with the PJ,carb.
Get in touch with Pog Member Teddy Landers. He is your Lectron Middle man with direct link to Lectron.
Cheers,..

What this "Terry" stuff Speedy? Anybody needing prices, just email me at [email protected] . Lectron can machine the inlet and outlet to fit your air box boot and intake manifold. I put Lectrons on all my AHRMA Post Vintage bikes and they are awesome. It was Speedy and Gary Ellis who got me going with them. At Sandia three weeks ago, the guy next to me crashed into me and knocked me off the bike on the start. The bike went on to almost get the hole shot without me!!!! When I finally caught up with it, it was lying on it's side idling quietly. I pulled in the clutch, righted the bike and took off after the crowd. Lectrons are great!!!
