Is there a site where I can find out the 2008 enduro schedule here in the northeast? I live in southern NY, and I am looking to do a few events next year with my 76 MC5.
Do you mean enduro or cross-country?

Enduro
One place to look is the East Coast Enduro Association page. That is //WWW.ECEA.org. Naturally, the 2008 schedule isn't up yet but it'll give you an idea of where they run their enduros. I belonged years ago when I rode enduros. It shouldn't be too far for you to some of them if you're in southern NY.

I seriously doubt you want to be riding modern style enduros on your post vintage MC5 Penton. You want to ride Vintage Events. Check the AHRMA Schedule. There is a Vintage 2 day in Ark. in April. Next ISDTR is next Oct.

What part of southern NY are you in??
I am the area of Orange, Sullivan, and Dutchess counties; about 90 miles north of NYC. Are any of you close to that?
As far as riding just vintage races, most are too far from me. I don't mind mixing it up with the younger riders and newer bikes. I did 30 mile event last year, and took a 3rd overall for the class. If I didn't get lost for a while, I might have won it! It's all in the wrist, when doubt gas it!
Ski Racer, if you go to the New England trail Riders web site NETRA, you will see what we had available for Hare Scrambles,Motocross races and Enduros for Vintage bikes, here in the North East.this past season.
There is a 6 mile Hare Scramble in Somers Conn. tomorrow, which is a closed loop course. Loud pipes and no registration for the bike required[8D]. Most of the Enduros require a street registered bike, and their getting shorter, mileage wise every season. :(
They have Vintage MX races @ Southwick Mass. a few times a year. Thats alot of fun, inexpensive and a Vintage friendly course. a couple more MX races in Central Conn.
Another good site for the racing action is the NEW ENGLAND DIRT BIKES. web page. Their right on top of all the racing action in Mass and Conn.
Hey sunday River ski areas open, time to get vertical mista !!
