Title: 125 Six Day expansion pipe repair
Post by: Harris on November 09, 2001, 10:42:53 AM
I am doing a restoration on a 1972 125 Six Day that I bought new in April 1972. Can anyone suggest what would be best to use in filling small nicks and dents in a 125 expansion chamber. Will normal Bondo work? Will the Bondo still stick when the pipe heats up? How is the best way to clean the carbon from inside?
Any suggestions. Thanks, Harris

Bondo will stick, but won"t hold up to the heat. Find a welding shop in yoyur area, they could braze and fill in the nicks. You'll have a permanent and strong repair.
