Title: Help me identify this KTM....
Post by: Steve Minor on November 09, 2001, 11:04:47 AM
First help me identify this KTM.

It's a red frame/white tank,fenders,panels, 400 MC5...Is it a '78 or '77?
(Aren't '77's silver frame/orange tank?)

Second, are the parts interchangeable with my '77 Penton 400 GS6?

Steve it sounds like a 78, maybe.

Sounds like a 78 though the frame should be orange and not red.

I have found that one man's Red is another man's Orange (or even Brown!) Sun fade can make some colors hard to describe accurately. Check for the best paint under the tank where it's not faded.
