Title: Wanted - 1978 KTM 400 Airboot
Post by: Marko on January 23, 2008, 12:23:27 PM
I need the rubber boot between the airbox and the stock Bing carb on a 1978 KTM 400. The part number is 55.06.026.500. The boot has offset hole centers from big end to small end. I tried a Bultaco Pursang boot which has about the right size holes, but it won't flex enough for the offset to fit.  I already tried Al B.  Anybody got a spare that I can send off to have copied or know where I can get one? Thanks. M.L.

Marko,
I purchased a few air boots that Rob Wager with OZKTM made up in black urethane a couple of years ago and have a couple of new ones left. The boots that I have are like picture 026 in the 78 chassis manual, and are listed as 250 & 400. The cost came out to around $40 each, and if you are interested in one, I would Priority Mail it to you for A total of $ 50.00 Give me a call at 618-793-2200 or email me @ [email protected] if this helps.
