Any suggestions for removing a Magura throttle assy, whose metal drum has rusted to the handlebar?

I have a suggestion... depends on how crazy or determined you are to get it done-  freeze and heat cycle it.  Drop it in a chest freezer for an hour or two, then take it out and use a hair dryer or heat gun on it.  Try that a few times.  You could also soak it in a penetrating oil, wipe it off, and freeze heat cycle it that way.  Good luck.

Hot and cold and lubricant should do the trick.
