My Johny Cash 175 MC5 was coming along nicely till I got ready to mount foot pegs and discovered that regular Penton pegs will not work on the dual position frame.
If anyone has a set they do not need that would be great, but I know that is a long shot. Pictures or a good description would be the next best thing.
The dual mounts are just a half round nub instead of a post so there is nothing there to stop regular pegs from pivoting downward.
Thanks
Dennis Jones
I have a 1977 175 mc5 frame, pegs are off and are somewhere . Will take a look for them[|)]. LG --- Will trade for wassell high mount front fender bracket.
Thanks LG,
It has to be pegs for the dual position peg mount frame, I have a lot of regular pegs.
I will look for a high fender mount but I think I just parted with my last one.

Dennis,
Send me a picture of your frame mounting parts and I'll send you a picture of what the dual position footpegs look like. From your description, (the dual mounts are just a half round nub instead of a post), the mounts may be broken, as the mounts form a complete circle that the footpegs attach to. I have a frame with one set of the mounts broken off like that also. Mike

Michael, I'l send you a picture, but I don't believe they are broke as all 4 mounts are the same. I think I just didn't descibe them very good. All four do make a complete cicle, but the do not protude out far enough to hold the peg level like the post type do.

Dennis,
It is a different type of peg. If I were home I could send you the page out of the parts book, however, I wont be home until 4/25

Dennis,
I have a set of pegs, but nothing extra that I can part with, so I would gladly send them to you to try to copy if you wish, as long as I get them back. Maybe I could talk you into making me another set also, if affordable. Mike

I have found two pair, from dual mount frame.
How much for the extra pair, if they aren't already spoken for? Mike

LG, I looked but I don't have any more high fender mounts. I would be happy to buy your pegs out right or trade you other Penton or Wassell stuff. Let me know what you would like.
Micheal, I sent you the pictures.
Thanks to all the others for their replys, This group is great

Dennis, footpeg pics sent. Let me know if I need to send them to you to replicate. I have 4 77 dual position footpeg frames and only 2 sets of pegs for them. Mike

Hi Dennis, I'll bite on this one, Johnny Cash? [:I]
If I get the association to the song right, I would say built piece by piece. I have a lot of those myself. Mike

Mike is right, Johny Cash had a song about getting a new car free by takeing one piece at a time home in his lunch box.
This bike probably does not have more than 3 pieces on it from any one bike. I have been gathering parts from POG members, ebay, swapmeets, and vintage suppliers for 2 years and it looks like I'm down to foot pegs.
