I have a bunch of Pentons for sale. 3 Hare Scramblers, 1 Jack piner, and 2 Six Days. All in very good condition. These are not junkers, and they are not show bikes. I also have LOTS of spare parts. And I have a couple of post vintage projects for sale. http://www.vintagejerry.com/KTM_MC400.htmhttp://www.vintagejerry.com/KTM250HareScrambler.htm
The Six Days I bought new in 74 and rode some enduros then put it in my shed for 30 years. I took it out a couple of years ago and rode it a couple of times and put it back. All original unrestored, very nice. Here are some pictures http://www.vintagejerry.com/SixDayMain.htm click on the pictures to make them bigger.
The other Six Days is a motocrosser that I put togher a couple of years ago and raced several AHRMA events and a 40+ event. Very nice. Here are some pictures http://www.vintagejerry.com/Penton125MX2.htm
The Jackpiner is very nice, does not have the enduro kit. Here are some before and after pictures. http://www.vintagejerry.com/Jackpiner2.htm
The Hare Scramblers are all very nice. 2 of them have been raced once or twice since I built them and are ready to race right now. The third Hare Scrambler is nice also, but I think the pilot jet is pluged up because it will not idle and the only way to start it is with starting fluid. Once started, it runs as long as i keep the rpm up. It also has a blue tank and number plates on it because that was was all I had ready when I built it up. I had big plans to do lots of racing, but medical problems always got in the way.
That must be a misprint. $1500 or $15,000? Jerry lives not far from me and I have been to his house and seen some of his bikes. They are all very nice machines and if my garage didn't need to be emptied already I would be over there trying to fill it up again with a few of Jerry's beautiful Pentons. Gavin
Jerry will have to be the answerman since I have no idea. But I sort of assumed 1.5k would be in ballpark on a per-bike basis but you raise a good point. Seems a little stiff but who knows? Would be impressive if someone goes for the entire stable.
