Not only today but every day we need to thank all the veterans and current military personnel who put their lives on the line and sacrifice so that we might enjoy our freedom.

Thomas,
I agree. I just do not see people understanding what the price of Freedom is all about. I had someone send me something this week and it was in the form of a pin.
"If you don't stand behind our Troops just stand in front of them".
And that came from an old Vet. Please thank all the Vets you see this weekend for their service and as Thoms says thank them everyday.

Hey guys,
Thanks for reminding me on this timely topic. My Memorial Day will start off at 05:00 hours with a road march in "Full Battle Rattle" to include my Individual Body Armor (IBA), weapon, gas mask and all the other niceties of today's soldier. Yup, I'm sitting at good old Fort McCoy in Wisconsin just days away from making that leap across the pond for my second tour of Iraq. I was REALLY hoping to ride the ISDT Qualifier Two Day event with you all in Combs, AR but Uncle Sam had other thoughts, so instead I spent that weekend packing up for my all-expense-paid trip. I want to thanks all my Pogger buddies that took the time to wish me good luck. Teddy and Rosemary made sure I got your letters and cards of support from the Combs 2-Day Qualifier ride. I am double bummed because I had planned to make this year a major Penton tour by adding Mid Ohio and the 40th Penton on my "must do" list. I even was planning on getting a post vintage Penton 250 to "expand" my riding opportunities in 2008. To top it off, I was going to have the honor of hosting my clubs very first AHRMA CC event in Russellville, AR. I was really looking forward to giving all my CC buddies a great event. My club (the River Valley Dirt Riders) will pick up where I left off so fear not, you will still have a great CC event, I just won't be there to enjoy it with you. A big thanks to Teddy and Rosemary for their support and kind words. Thanks again. You folks make sure you have a great riding year and I'll see you in 2009!

Pete,
You will be in my Prayers. To let you know how old I am I was at McCoy when it was called Camp McCoy back in the 1960/70's. Thank you for serving our Country so that we can be Free.

Thanks to all that served.
Pete, if they would let me, I'd be there with you. They think I'm too old to do that anymore.
Be safe. See you when you get home!!!

Pete....On behalf of my family, thank you for protecting us and this great country.
Once you arrive at your duty station, please post an email address. Even better, post a mailing address. If allowed, we could send a small "care package" with necessities (tooth brush, soap, gum, etc) to your and your buddies once in a while.
Thank you again...stay safe
