Title: 2008 ISDT RR Entry Form Available Now
Post by: slvrbrdfxr on May 26, 2008, 06:35:25 PM
Hi All,
Below are links to the entry form and location of the banquet/lodging for the 2008 ISDT RR at John Zink Ranch. I planned to post this info on the TTR website last month but our webmaster passed away unexpectedly and the club is still trying to regain all control of our website. We hope to have this issue solved soon so that future info can be found there. I'll keep you posted on that. If you have trouble viewing the documents please shoot me an email and I'll send the files directly to you. I'll also have a supply of the entry forms with me at VMD. I'll be located directly across from Pentonville again this year. Our club is really looking forward to hosting the event again this year so hope to see you there. Thanks !!

Just to make sure....My 72 Six Day falls in the "Classic" class.

Correct?

Any other class it might be legal in?

Thanks

Yes, its Classic or you could ride an age class (+50) if you qualify.

Or you could ride it in the 200 Sportsman. I assume they still have that class at the RR since it is considered an AHRMA CC.
Brian, we missed you at Tomahawk.

Yes, Lew is correct, and Ernie has been running his 125 in Sportsman 200 all year long with very good results. That said, as good as a Penton 125 is, in Sportsman 200 you will be racing Jackpiners and Can-Am 175s so if you plan to beat them you will have to be a much faster rider than they are because the horsepower difference is significant.

Tomahawk was never in my schedule Lew, at 1000 miles its just too far away particularly for a Friday. I dont go to very many combined CC/MX weekends prefering to make as many CC only two day events like Marion as possible. I really dislike being pushed off to Fridays when we share weekends with MX so I avoid them all except for Ocala (or where ever it will be) and Barber. If Teddy is able to set up more double header CC weekends next season I wont race MX at all except for Barber and regionals.

Did you get the carb and gearing figured out for you?
Let me know please.

I think I have John.....13/60 gearing and I followed your guide to jetting the 27 Bing. I still have a few bugs to work out though.

You're a great Pal and an asset to POG

Dave,
Nice job on getting the Post Lodge as the headquarters.  It is a beatiful place and is almost a vacation in its own. Even though I am unable to race anymore I am amazed at what a great job the Tulsa Trail Riders do and how long they have been in putting on top events.

Ron,
Thanks for the compliment about TTR and the Post Oak Lodge. The lodge sure is a nice place and we appreciate them letting us use their facitily. The real credit for finding the lodge however goes to one of our other club members Ken Cole who lives in the Sand Springs area. Ken took the ball and ran with it to find a suitable location for the banquet once we found out that the Zink Museum was unavailble due to some remodeling and I believe some expansion. He did all the contact work and negotiating with the lodge and we are extremely grateful to him for doing such a great job. Sure hope you can make it up for the event because I missed seeing you at VMD again this year. Talk to you later.
