Boy, does that take me back to better days. :D I wish I could buy you 1980 125 just to sit in my home office, along with my soon to be restored 1980 420. I used to drool over those two bikes when I was in school. [:p] My nearest dealer was just 3 miles down the road. i used to walk there many a day just to sit on the bikes, talk to the parts/service guys, and dream, of coarse. Unfortunately my mom and dad didn't have the money for a new bike, so I had to work summers and weekends for nearby farmers to get the money for good used Pentons, Hercules, etc.

I sure wish I had the extra cash right now to pick up that 80 125.  That was KTM's first serious 125 for MX.  I raced one in 80.  I was also a dealer in 84 and sold a number of 84 125's.  Very fast bike if you could keep the all aluminium clutch from destroying itself!  If your going to race one and your a good intermediate or expert rider, you will need extra clutch plates and outer hubs!
