Greetings fellow poggers. I wanted to post this info here before anything was placed on eBay. Times are tougher, as we all know. Even though it is the last thing I want to do, I have come to the conclusion that it is prudent for me to let my old bikes go. They bring many happy smiles to customers in my dealership, but the current economy dictates I concentrate on current bikes sales and the good health of the shop. Below is a listing of items for sale at best fair offer. I'm not going to just give them away though. Email me directly and I will be glad to discuss any details. I will be in the Huntington WV area this weekend and hope to make my first trip to Vintage Days this year. I can transport to a fairly good sized mid-atlantic area. My home is in Greensboro, NC and the dealership is in Martinsville VA. If interested, contact me at

Hello Rob,

Pat
hello rob you have email thanks dave when in doubt gas it
Rob,
I sent you a email on 4 of the bikes. Thanks.
Ron Carbaugh
Wow - thanks for all the responses. I have tried to email you all. I do have dibs (dibbers?), at least for now, on the Six Days and 75 JP. We are hopefully working details on both. It was great speaking with Pat in England today. Nice guy originally from Michigan. I asked my sales manager to take shots of these bikes today. He has some up on our website and will have the rest up by Friday pm. BTW, the prices listed on the site are high for general retail public. I want to find good homes for these, and that is worth more than just just money to me. I am intending to move as much of this as I can prior to the end of June. I'm not trying to do a sales pitch to anyone, just need to flow the business. Can ship or may deliver.

This is a great group of folks. I look forward to meeting anyone I can at Vintage Days.
When was the last time that your local KTM dealership had a Penton sale? I could not hold myself back. The six days will remain in southside Virginia. A big thanks to Rob and I was glad to help.
John J Slivka
Tough to see that Six Days go away but glad it was to a good guy like John. He even helped me try to identify 4 NOS aluminum fenders. Two look like maybe front Penton style w/two holes, but the other two have no holes. They have rolled edges on one end only.
It is always interesting the conversations that old bikes bring up. When John pulled away, a customer started talking about those bikes with green tanks. He knew where there was a somewhat(?)complete non-runner for very little. I will check it out and see if anyone wants that too. John, it's very close to you. The 75 Jackpiner is going to Pat Mickevicious (sp) in England. I will bring it up to Mid-Ohio. I think the Can Am is going to Jersey but it's not yet done. Elsinores, maybe. I will work with ya'll a bunch on the price for the two remaining Penton/KTMs to go to a POG member. (In re-reading: does that sound Southern or what!? :)) I'll try and take some better pics of them, as well as provide more info as requested on the Elsinores. I would guess the Rupps may have some draw at Mid-Ohio, since I believe they were from the Amherst area?
The upside to selling these off is that I have met or spoken with some great people. Ron, I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. You guys make me feel welcome, and I appreciate that. I hesitated for awhile to even post these for sale, concerned about a "firesale" perception. But ya'll have been great. Business adjustments are always made, and I have to keep in mind the bigger picture. Times will get better too :)
Rob, From the way I see it there is nothing wrong with "Southern"[8D]

1976 250 Hare Scrambler
I like Southern too, ya'll :)
The Six Days and the 75 Jackpiner are gone, but the Wassel and the 97.5 are still here. The prices on our work website were high as noted before. I'm thinking $1975 for the Wassel, and $4800 for the 97.5 - how does that sound? Entertaining all offers for quick sale...
rob,
See you email reagarding Wassel.
Thanks,
Chuck,

Is the 74 Honda Trail 90 still available? If so, would you send me some pictures and what do you want for it?
thanks

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone so far. You have helped to make a difference. I will copy list and update below. You continue to be a great bunch to get to know. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. I got a call from Barry Pate today, just after working out things on his old Wassel. Class guy, as always. I will meet Chuck on Monday with the Wassel, Ted Saturday in Charleston, WV with the Elsinores. More to go!

Hi folks. I still have some units that need to go. Taking offers on the 97.5. Also, I do have additional pics of it. Just email me and I will send pics. Thanks.

Bump...things are pretty tough here, as I know it is everywhere. The banking crisis has really hurt sales, and I need to pay bills. We can't get anyone financed now; the unemployment rate here is at 12.1%. I would like this 97.5 30th anniversary bike to go to a member if at all possible. $2900? Call the dealership and ask for myself or Jerry Pruitt, Sales Manager. 276-629-3999. Thanks in advance.
