Last Wednesday, a long time great friend of J.P. passed away. Chris "The Lord" Lavery was a British motorcycle enthusiast and J.P. first met him at the ISDT on the Isle of Man in 1965. Chris was involved in motocross as well and came to the U.S. in the late 60's with the CZ motocross team riders to the Inter Am events. Dave Bickers was a friend of Chris' as well and I think that's what got him involved with the CZ riders. He knew Joel Robert very well too.
Chris was living in Johannesburg, South Africa for a number of years and Chris and his wife had just made a long trip from South Africa to Northern Ireland and back to South Africa. There were a lot of stops on the way, including Dubai, Poland, Germany, and of course England.
Chris passed away during his sleep on last Wednesday.

We just all need to offer prayers for Chris' family. Chris lived a long, and enjoyed life and the way that he passed, couldn't be better.
