Looks like I may have a new Sachs/DKW or Penton ISDT race team in the making;) only if I can get Gene to take some time off of his modern bikes and fishing trips. Will have him over for a shop tour and work on him then. Will update.

Super. I remember Gene Cannay and Preston Petty on their Deeks at many a View Finders Grand Prix and MX back in the Day. Wow did they fly. I still have my 72 Deek available, still need to find a good home for her.

Preston Petty showed up at District 37 motocross race last weekend for some benchracing, etc. Wouldn't it be great to get those two together for some stories. FYI, I also remember Gene Cannady at Barstow to Vegas hauling on a XL350 across the state line dry lake. Pegged all the way.....
