Title: Help - wheel offsets
Post by: Mike Berrington on August 01, 2008, 10:42:16 PM
In my hast to unlace my 1973 Jackpiner wheels I did not take any measurements of the offsets.  I have straight hubs, 32 mm forks, and Radaelli rims. Can someone tell me the off set for the front and the rear wheel.

Any tips or tricks on re-lacing the wheels will be appricaited also! (Using new SST spokes and rims).

THANKS

Mike
The front wheel has at least 3/8" to 1/2" off-set towards the speedometer drive side, away from the brake.  The back wheel is centered.  The first spokes to go in the hub are the inside spokes, install from the outside in is what I mean.  Get all of them in and nippled up to the rim, leave nipples loose, just started 3-4 threads.  Then install the outside spokes.
