I know this is off PENTON topic but ran across Harley BAJA 100cc. Anyone know of parts, engines etc.. anyone might have for sale? Were made by AERMACCHI in Italy. Hate to part out. Has "baby Cerannis on front" with CEV headlight/tailight. Ted
Ted, hi, i met this guy at Mid-O in 07 that restores Aermacchi bikes, he is from Ga., try this website: aermacchirestorations.com if that doesn't work his name is Jerry Barbour 478-935-8638, give him a call, hope this helps, regards, Mike G. from Jersey.

Mike: Thanks a lot for the contact information. It's certainly a good start. Ted
Jerry Barbour is a good source, solisvintagebike.com also appears to restore the Italian Harleys. I raced one in the early 70's. Unless you are really motivated I wouldn't attempt restoring one of these unless it is going to be display only. Check out the Jack Krizman (Kesco) goodie list at the solisvintagebike website, you would need most of those parts to get it to run right and of course they haven't been available since 1975.
BTW, the long legged baby Cerianis only have 4 1/2 inches of travel,
they can be converted to 6 inch travel with parts from the 350 4 stroke they made back then. My Baja eventually ran quite well but getting it there was really doing it the hard way, a very frustrating and aggravating experience in 1972. Almost forgot, the cast iron cylinder weighed 17 pounds, only in 1974 did it get an aluminum one, way too late by then.

Ted,You might check with Dale's Modern Cycles in San Bernadino,Ca.
Dale used to sponsor Bruce Oglivie and Larry Roeseler on the Baja's.He has an attic with a bunch of old stuff in it-last time i looked anyway.I haven't seen Dale in a long time, hopefully he's still alive and well.
