Title: GS6 photos wanted
Post by: Mike Berrington on September 08, 2008, 08:32:46 AM
Looking for pictures of new unmolested, non-updated 1977 GS6's, (175 preferable), but any will do.  Does any one have a color brochure scanned in their computer?

I found a couple of pictures on the internet they are very nice restorations, but I can not tell if they implemented any creative license changes.

Thanks for your help.

For original brochure detail with stock details:

Although the pics in the brochure show a white(?) chainguard, Lectron carb and old-style clutch activator, a '77 GS6 250 I found locally was sold as a KTM here in Oregon had an original black plastic chainguard, Bing and C-style new version clutch activator. Also had a Preston Petty front headlight/number plate and PP rear enduro fender, all in Jackpiner blue.

For the record, my 77 400 GS6 came with the pipe shown on the MC5 in the brochure. I'm quite sure because I bought it new and still have it. It also came with a Bing and black plastic chainguard.
