Considering the varied motorcycling interests of POG members, many of you may recognize the name Cook Neilson. For ten years, Cook was editor of the late, great "Cycle" magazine. Among his many accomplishments during those years, Cook is possibly best remembered for his AMA Superbike racing success aboard a privateer Ducati, nicknamed "Old Blue". Often credited with cementing Ducati's success in the U.S. market, Cook and Old Blue have become the stuff of legends.
A chance meeting with Neilson as the 2008 AMA Hall Of Fame Concour d'Elegance, where Penton was a featured marque, resulted in the following interview, plus some pics of Cook seated on board a Penton motorcycle. Stay tuned for an upcoming, full-length POG video of the Concours.
