Title: Fork Stem
Post by: imported_n/a on December 23, 2001, 09:44:06 PM
How is the fork stem removed from the lower triple clamp on a '72 Berkshire?  The rest of the fork assembly has been taken apart and I have removed the two clamp bolts, but it appears the lower race needs to be removed to "spread" the triple clamp.  Any help appreciated.

Gary.
The fork stem is pressed into the lower triple clamp. If you have all the pinch bolts loose, take a block of wood and tap the triple clamp down. It should come off the bottom of the triple clamp. I've done this many times.
