Title: Volcanduro Tire
Post by: Tahitian_Red on February 22, 2009, 04:47:33 PM
While I plan to replace the current tires on my 75 KTM I was wondering about the front tire that is on the bike.  It's an IRC Volcanduro VE 35F.  I don't believe I've ever come across any info on this model of front tire.  Does anyone have knowledge about them?

Made by IRC, they still sell them. Although I see mostly VE33s on the racks. Last time I ran them they wore well but didn't give as good traction as Michelins or Pirellis.

Actually not a bad tire at all. It is a copy of the Trelleborg .  The VE35F is the front and the VE33 is the rear.  I have them on my vintage Husqvarna and my Honda XR200R. Much longer lasting than the Michelin.

I would put the IRC VE33 100/100X17 on.  They do make a 110/100X17 if you think it would pull it.  These would "LOOK" like the Trelleborg tyres that came stock on the bike.

Thanks; the bike when I got it had a 5.10 , I think the owner was trying to float over sand .
